I am an artist who loves to paint nature. The interaction between human and nature can be beautiful, and I want to preserve it. My hometown is Osaka, Japan, a city with beautiful natural surroundings and brilliant colors in its city center. There is incredible energy in the streets, people wearing bright colors, stores decorated with color everywhere on billboards and signs. Surrounded by this energy, I absorbed it growing up.

Being a volcano island, Japan has wonderful natural beauty, with mountains, shorelines, and wildlife. Part of my love of painting nature is the unique fauna, and their unique positions and attitudes are attractive to me.

These were the inspirations for my Animal Series using bright, checkered backgrounds and color contrast. It’s a representation of my background and my life.
